Conscious of our impact on Italy’s land and economy, we have worked and continue to work to protect the environment and combat climate change.
The energy transition, the search for innovative solutions to reduce the environmental impacts of our activities as much as possible and the responsible use of resources are an integral part of our daily work.
The Group has developed a Climate Transition Plan for its logistics and real estate assets to manage climate-related risks and opportunities, while mitigating both actual and potential impacts. The plan focuses on two key areas:
- the decarbonisation of logistics activities, in particular through the renewal of our vehicle fleet, which is the largest in Italy
- the energy efficiency of our buildings
The Board-approved Plan targets a 15% reduction in total Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030, compared to the 2024 baseline. This target is based on incremental economic estimates (costs and investments) relative to the current 2024-2028 Strategic Plan.
We also believe in the principles of the circular economy and strive every day to minimise the amount of disposed waste and to encourage recycling. Our Environmental Management System and that of our main subsidiaries is certified according to ISO 14001. Our goals and results are regularly reviewed.
