Poste Italiane maintains the “A-“ rating issued by CDP (ex Carbon disclosure project) in the Climate change section and confirmed for the fourth consecutive year as global leader for sustainability and inclusion policies among insurance companies in the 2024 edition of the Sustainability Yearbook of Standard&Poor’s Global. CDP has positively assessed the Group’s performance, which has seen a further improvement in the disclosure of risks and opportunities, risk management and emission reduction initiatives towards a low-carbon model. The score of "A-", on a scale from "D-" to "A", is also higher than the European regional average and the average of the sector "Intermodal Transport and Logistics".

CDP, a non-profit organization recognized as an international "gold standard" in environmental reporting, manages the global disclosure system in reporting and evaluating performance and climate change strategies. Its assessment shall appraise with particular attention the accuracy of the published data, the knowledge of the effects of the business on climate change and the progress made by companies in this direction, including in relation to ESG objectives and targets.

"CDP also underlines the constant improvements in the performance of Poste Italiane in its environmental sustainability policies - commented the CEO of Poste Italiane, Matteo Del Fante - In addition to the prestige for recognition, the confirmation of the evaluation and the inclusion in the Sustainability Yearbook of S&P Global thus consolidate the leadership of Poste Italiane for having adopted a sustainable business model that focuses on the creation of shared value, with particular attention to environmental protection, strengthening our commitment to the integration of ESG aspects in the business strategy"

"The evaluations once again confirm the effectiveness of the Group’s sustainability strategy, with particular reference to policies and actions taken to combat climate change - said the Co-General Manager of Poste Italiane Giuseppe Lasco - The evaluation of CDP reaffirms the ability of the Company to identify and effectively manage the risks and opportunities in a complex context. It also demonstrates the value of our transition to a low-carbon economy, in line with the 2030 carbon neutrality target, and strengthens the Group’s reputation as a global leader in sustainability."

The Sustainability Yearbook, based on the results obtained by companies in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) of S&P Global, includes and ranks internationally the most deserving in terms of ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) performance.
Thanks to the score achieved in the CSA 2023, Poste Italiane is one of the 759 companies out of the more than 9,400 evaluated by the CSA to have been included in the Sustainability Yearbook 2024. Compared to the insurance sector, the Group - already recognized as a leading sector within the CSA - is the only company that falls within the top 1% among the 212 evaluated by the rating agency, appearing among the 29 companies selected for its presence within the document.

The new award is one of the numerous certificates received by the Poste Italiane Group for its sustainability practices. Added to this result are the obtaining of the platinum medal received by EcoVadis, the maintenance of the rating of "AA" in the MSCI rating and the improvement score obtained by Moody’s, in addition to the inclusion of Poste Italiane within the most prestigious international sustainability indices, such as Dow Jones Sustainability Index World and Europe, Integrated Governance Index (IGI), Euronext Equileap Gender Equality Eurozone 100, FTSE4Good, Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index and Stoxx Global ESG Leaders.
