Open Italy The Open Innovation program that encourages dialogue and collaboration between large companies, Italian startups and young talents.

OPEN ITALY was born within the ELIS Consortium.

A place to discuss and exchange ideas on innovation trends and think about solving common needs. All facilitated by the open digital platform, events throughout the year and the support of an expert team on Open Innovation issues.

Poste Italiane has been joining the Open Innovation Program OPEN ITALY since 2018.

These are the parameters for the evaluation of innovative subjects:
 
• Quality / Innovativeness of the product / service offered.
• Market readiness and scale up of the solution.
• Validity of the Business Model.
• Solidity and skills of the team.
• References, funding and awards.
 
Realities who want to get involved and respond to the business needs of the Corporate adhering to the program can participate in the program.
Reserved for Startups, Innovative SME Scaleups, University Spin Offs and Research Centers with the following requirements:
• Ready To Market solutions, tested on the market
• Less than 10 million in annual turnover
• Less than 8 years of age
• A full time team
 
The corporate adherents to the program have defined the following "innovation perimeters", areas of common interest where they have the greatest need to invest in innovation.
The areas of work on which the companies of the consortium have expressed their business needs and what will be the challenges of the near future have been identified, with the central objective of relaunching the country and promoting inclusive and sustainable growth.
The eight themes identified, transversal to all industries, respond to the innovation trends extracted from the business plans of the companies participating in the Open Italy program are:
