Vladimiro Ceci was born in Ascoli Piceno in 1969. He is married and has two daughters.He graduated in Monetary and Financial Economics at the Luigi Bocconi University of Milan and holds a PhD in Quantitative Economics from the University of Siena. He was a Visiting Scholar at the University of California San Diego.
He began his professional career as econometrician within the Risk Management department of Banca Intesa and later became Head of Financial Modeling in TradingLab Banca at Unicredit Group.
He joined Cassa Depositi e Prestiti in 2004 in the aftermath of its transformation into a joint stock company. Leveraging his experience in modelling and in risk technologies, he set up the Risk Management department and directed the design and the proprietary development of advanced pricing tools and of a wide-ranging risk architecture, besides tailoring a risk policy on the peculiarities of the Institution. His role expanded over time with the widening of the mission of the Institution to become Chief Risk Officer, in charge of Risk Management, Credit Analysis, Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering activities.
From mid-2016 to October 2018 he served the Institution as Chief Audit Officer and then joined Poste Italiane Group, where he has initially covered the roles Head of Group Capital Management and Head of Group Strategic Real Estate.
Since 2021 he is Chief of Staff of the CEO & General Manager of Poste Italiane and since September 2022 he is also in charge of Group Strategic Marketing.
He was Chairman of the Board of CDP Investimenti SGR from September 2014 to April 2016; board member of Anima Holding SpA from November 2018 to May 2019; board member of Anima SGR from December 2018 to May 2019; Chairman of Poste Assicura SpA from February 2019 to May 2020 and again from May 2021 to October 2021; Chairman of Poste Vita SpA from December 2020 to September 2021; Chairman of the Risk Control Committee of Poste Vita from February 2019 to December 2020 and again since September 2021. Since June 2020 he is Chairman of Europa Gestioni Immobiliari SpA.
